LMMTA was created in 2014, and is affiliated with the Michigan Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association organizations.

Our mission is to support the development of music education through professional study and performance, identify and develop aspiring student artists, and enrich the community by supporting music education and performance programs.

LMMTA members are dedicated to raise the standard of music education including pedagogy, curriculum, and artistry.  We are a community of committed music professionals.
